The Standard Inn - Rye

The rooms they offer were delightful and exceptional with comfy beds, good shower, for example. The location was incredible, within walking distance of Rye Castle Museum. The hotel was in a great area....

We think it's a handy base for staying in Rye. The units are exceptional, stunning. The hotel is a 5-minute stroll to the centre.

Do recommend for a stopover

Charming room, good breakfast, with a cozy atmosphere that perfectly captures the historic essence of the place. I loved the comfortable bed which ensured a great night's sleep and enjoyed the freshly prepared breakfast that featured...  

This place suits me perfectly, offering free wi-fi, a cozy bar/lounge, and cute pets. The staff were very attentive, even helping with my luggage on my first stay. I recommend trying the breakfast. It's excellent!...  

Just a strong match for a brief stopover in Rye with very good value for money. The pub serves delicious food and great ales. Choose a room away from the pub to avoid noise at night.

I loved the enchanting ambiance of The Standard Inn, with its beautiful wooden beams and cozy fireplace creating a cute atmosphere. The staff were wonderfully attentive.

A ceiling fan would have improved room comfort.

Breakfast to die for

Wow, the full English breakfast here was unreal-def the highlight of our stay! Evening meals were fab too, super tasty. Staff were so helpful, even went and got fly spray for our room, kinda annoying. But overall, the dining experience was great, especially in the cozy bar area.

The location is fantastic, with a lovely old building charm that makes you feel right at home. Breakfast was excellent with a lovely spread, and the local eateries nearby are a treat. the noise from the bar below made it a bit challenging to sleep at times. I wish the room had better amenities as it felt a bit cramped at times.

Diving into the local eats, we dined at Hoof, where the wood-fired dishes had us dreaming of their smoky flavors. The breakfast at The Standard was great with a lovely spread. The quirky charm of the place really...  

Cozy stay with good dining

The staff greeted us warmly, and we felt catered to throughout our visit. Dinner was a highlight. The flavors were amazing, and the pricing very reasonable. A superb choice for dining in Rye-definitely returning!

We dined in the inn and were immediately impressed by the enthusiastic and skilled young staff. They were attentive without being overbearing, and the food was just delicious, really tasty and well-prepared. Our kids loved the...  

We spent 2 nights in a quirky room and enjoyed the fantastic breakfast each morning with local ingredients. The atmosphere was lively, making our stay nice despite some noise from the bar below.

Charming character of rooms with unique antique furnishings adds a historical vibe. The breakfast spread offers a lovely variety. Conveniently located, it's easy to wander around the area and soak in the sights....  

The quirky charm of the place really shone through! I loved the character of our room with its old beams and sloped floors. the light was poor, making it a bit gloomy at times. 🌟
